An Overview of the Japanese Music Market

Japan has long been a country surrounded by an aura of mystique. To many, it is the land of the rising sun. To others, it is some far away land. To even more, it is a place flooded with unattainable riches. While the first two viewpoints are indeed true, the latter is only partially correct.

As you may know, the Japanese are arguably the largest demographic of tourists on the planet and pump billions of dollars into the local economy of countless cities annually. What you may not know is what the Japanese spend on tourism is minuscule compared to what they spend on music.

Japan has a long tradition of fans remaining loyal to their favorite artists and entering the Japanese market can be incredibly lucrative for you if you choose to.
